A week from today, we celebrate Boxing Day around here... which isn't really a celebration at all, but a consumer demi-holiday where crazed shoppers jam themselves into malls, scrambling to buy last season's look for bargain prices. Thankfully, this year, I've got alternate plans.

Come December 26th, I'm hitting the road with a couple of friends for another drive to the west coast. Last time we pulled it off, we travelled south to Nashville and Memphis before heading west along Route 66. This time we're taking a route less travelled which should go something like: Ontario, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, California. We'll spend one week getting there and then another week in California.

Daily programming around here won't stop though... I'll be updating Doublecrossed (and Flickr) from the road. Stay tuned.

P.S. This is officially post #1000. Thanks so much for stoppin' in... it's inspiring - to say the least.
