//look again. the unbelievable retro kitchen.
Friday eve ended with friends and I taking turns carrying a precious wet paper napkin down Bloor Street after we successfully pulled off a Polaroid transfer onto it using rice tea, sushi plates and our hands. Weird looks aside, we were feeling rather geekishly accomplished.
Waking up this morning, I was still in the mood for creating some odd images, so I nixed brunch plans, did a couple searches online and within an hour, Steph(oh, how she humours me) had borrowed a car and we were off to some estate sales. The next few hours were spent wandering through other people's belongings in search of cameras, microphones and precious junk for the soon-to-be studio. While we did find a few things, that was all overshadowed by the bizarrely decorated homes themselves... spaces that weren't just time warps, but mind warps.
The kitchen pictured above was the highlight of the day. An alternate snapshot, with Steph in it, is up on Flickr.
