After nearly everything went wrong in preparation for this weekend's show, my luck finally turned around. Yesterday was a phenomenal kick off to the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition for me - probably the most successful first day of an outdoor show in all the years I've been doing them. Wonderful strangers, great stories, meetings with fans and plenty of artwork sold. I couldn't ask for more.

This photo was a suggestion from a charming tourist with a good eye. He and his gf had just walked away after buying a print at my booth, when he came running back with a big smile on his face. Pointing down the street, he insisted there was a great little scene I should photograph. I took my camera and followed him over to this pair. On a hot afternoon, this woman definitely had the best seat in the house.

Hmm... actually, I've thought of *one* thing I could still ask for... sun instead of rain today? Maybe? *fingers crossed*
