//Niagara Falls, ON.
Scrapped afternoon plans yesterday (which involved a thrilling session of backing up hard drives, cleaning slides and some web design. Wow, i know.) and decided to take my mother on an impromptu trip to Niagara Falls. She needed an escape and it was just the ticket.
Along with my 5D (used for shooting the above photo), I brought along an old Keystone that shoots 126 film. Now, nothing of great quality will come out of this film (as not only is it expired, but 126 is just not that good a format, period) but it does have huge sentimental value for my mother, who shot my entire childhood on those 126 squares. She laughed when she saw it and despite not having picked up a camera in over a decade, went straight back to her old antics... the most legendary being that she uses one hand to hold the camera up and the other to support it, hold her other eyelid shut AND press the shutter at the same time. Half awkward, half ninja. I need to get a shot of that in action one day soon.
