Local developer, E-Park, erected a crane today in order to commence the destruction of the historic smokestack tower, brick by brick. In the few minutes I was out taking pictures, neighbour after neighbour passed by and gave me a sad nod before turning to look up at the site. We've tried everything we can to save it since we found out what was happening, but things look grim with this newest addition to the skyline.

EXHIBITS: This Friday night is the opening of 99 Cents, a Contact exhibit curated by blogTO. My photo, "Fancy Panties" is one of the large poster prints featured in the exhibit. It's available for a bargain $99.99, all proceeds to be donated to Up With Women, a local charity helping women & children out of homelessness. The party starts at 7pm at the Show & Tell Gallery (1161 Dundas St W).

ALSO in time for the Contact Photography Fest, my Mind's Eye series is up at Northern District Library (40 Orchard View Blvd, just N of of Yonge & Eglinton). The show runs til the end of May.
