The unexpected side effect of the new Fuji is that it has me playing around with a camera the way I did when I first held one.... photos of rotary phones, friends' shoes and macro close-ups of cactus plants. In the spirit of all that silliness, I offer you a quintessential new-to-photography photo: the mirror self-portrait. The only thing worse would be to pose with the camera covering one eye... but, well, even the Fuji won't be pushing me that far. ;)
(photo was taken in the Doublecrossed studio 'powder room gallery' -- ie. the bathroom. I currently have a bunch of colourful Polaroid "Big Shot" photographs hanging in there.)
