This is the old foundry building south of the studio on Lansdowne Ave. I live in the twin building, so it's particularly striking to see it being torn down as I can picture the spot I'm sitting in now just over by those windows. Still, the building has got to go as both it and the land south of it (in the distance) was once the center of some toxic PCB production by GE in the '70s -- which still lingers. GE are working with specialized teams to oversee a safe/clean demo, but of course, I hung around these buildings a fair bit in my childhood and years ago when they were half-derelict film studios, so I suppose any damage is already done.
