"I go out walkin', after midnight, out in the moonlight, just like we used to do.
I'm always walkin', after midnight, searching for you." -Patsy Cline
Took a long walk late last night after work, holding my camera, partly, like a weapon. I'm not one to fear the streets at night, but when carrying a prized possession, you get defensive. Perhaps it was spurred on by a long day in which I was called 'goldilocks' twice by strange men/boys yelling(attention seeking) from slow-moving cars.
At some point along the walk, I came across this discarded gem and laughed out loud. It seemed terribly photogenic, so, straddling a bike post (which invited more calling), holding up a middle finger, and steadying the camera against the post, I took its portrait.
