I like how you described that, "this moment revealed itself." That's exactly how I feel about photography. There are moments happening everywhere, all the time, and sometimes we're lucky enough to capture them.
I really like your vision of your world, and this image is a great example of that. The black and white treatment and the woman's clothing make this look like a scene from the 50's. Excellent image. Bryan @ 2006-11-01
Love this capture, I'll echo Bryan's sentiment in liking your vision. BEN @ 2006-11-01
sensory overload.
not to label myself as someone easily persuaded or desuaded, but this trumps my previous favourites from your europe series.. (so far, because you never know).
the depth and detail you managed to capture in the tunnel, despite different lighting, is absolutely incredible.
I love the slice of life you've captured here...this single moment, frozen in time. And the contrasty black and white really are perfect. Meredith @ 2006-11-01
wow. gorgeous. amazing. beautiful. jean @ 2006-11-01
There's a symmetry to this picture- right down the middle with the two men, both facing the opposite direction, the poles the way they line up with the tunnel- even the window shutters..
The mom & daughter just complete a fantastic shot. Geo @ 2006-11-01
That passage is very nice, hopefully you also took a walk through it. Fantastic photo, also because of the symmetry Georgia points out. Erik @ 2006-11-01
Superlative. Timeless. I feel like I'm there. SD @ 2006-11-01
Brilliant!!! If not for the scooter, I wouldn't know what year this was shot in! Amazing. Dave Mac @ 2006-11-01
