//procession of children on St. Clair West (Canon 30d)
Took this photo before hopping on a streetcar at St. Clair & Lansdowne. Just moments before, a few hundred kids had filed past me on their way to mass at San Nicola di Bari parish up the street (the building where the line disappears in the distance).
Reminded me of when I was a child and we'd head over for special 'school' Ash Wednesday service. Then later, after sitting silent for an hour in church, we'd head out into the street and back to school, laughing loudly and poking fun at each other's dusty foreheads. It helped that we were probably still on a sugar kick from all the Mardi Gras pancakes we'd eaten the day before.
(looking up "ebb and flow" online, I get an oddly topical definition example.)
